Day 41

by Jess on March 14th, 2010 in Month 1 & 2

Consumption: 1653 calories, 21.45g of fat. Total steps: 13,063

Data for March 13.

Breakfast burrito is awesome when you throw in avocados. Man, I love avocados. And they’re so cheap here! It’s 3 for a dollar, so we have plenty at home. I haven’t been eating them but after I looked up the caloric contents yesterday, it’s not too bad in moderated quantities. And, two tablespoons was more than enough. So yummy. I made a chicken and broccoli casserole with rice, onions and mushrooms yesterday. It turned out pretty successful.

Workout: Elliptical. Biceps. Deltoids.

It was back to the elliptical for me. 30 minutes on that was so much easier than 30 minutes on the treadmill. My old interval, 8 low 12 high was a bit easy so I bumped it up to 13 high. I’ll be back to using the elliptical for the next week or so and then time to train for a faster 5K or perhaps 4 miles. I might try to get a few single miles in this week in order to cut my mile time, but I need a break from the treadmill.

BLC Weigh-in #4

by Jess on March 14th, 2010 in Month 1 & 2

Before I head off to make breakfast and be a bum for awhile (I’m determined to have one rest day), I wanted to share the exciting news!

As you might know, I’ve been doing the Biggest Loser Challenge over at 3FC. We’re about half-way through the challenge and it’s been great!

Having other people dependent on my results every week makes me work harder because I’m accountable to them. We’re a team, so I need to give it my all. I’m just one of those extremely competitive people (the kind that gets annoyed when they lose at Monopoly).

RESULTS

SW (03/07): 206.4
CW (03/14): 203.4
Total loss (since 02/21): 11 pounds

A 3 pound loss this week! I’m only 3.5 pounds away from being back in the 100s. I’m extremely excited! This means I’m going to work doubly hard this week to get to Onederland and never see that 2 on the scale ever again.

Now off to breakfast. What to eat?
