Day 43

I decided to put yogurt instead of milk on my cereal and add some blueberries. Yum. Vanilla yogurt is pretty damn sweet. Just the way I like it. And you can’t go wrong with peanut butter and jelly.

Since we had a decent amount of bean sprouts and banh pho lying around, I decided to try making beef pho, but tweaked. It was beef broth, but with chicken meat. Tasted pretty damn close to the real thing though. And, beef broth totally trumps chicken broth. Mmm, red meat. I love you. I made some for my dad too, and he gave it the thumbs up.

Workout: One hour walk. Treadmill. Elliptical. Lats. Shoulders. Triceps.

Went on a walk with my dad. I think we’re going to start running outdoors tomorrow. 5K training begins again, but not on the treadmill. As for the treadmill, I lied. I said I wasn’t going on it. Well, I did. But only to test my mile time. And holy crap. After running ten 5Ks in a row, well, let’s just say my mile time was awesome. Better than I could hope for. One March goal will be accomplished sometimes this week. Hopped on the elliptical after my run. Did the cross-training, but with my own resistance. I increased it sporadically. Super setted lateral raises with triceps. Need to start doing tricep dips.

Also completed day 2 of Project Sit in a Chair. Still breathing heavily but not as difficult as yesterday. And, since I said I’d join in on Seth’s Homemade Workout Challenge as well, I did that, but a bit modified. I did the side planks (and those sucked, but in a good way) and then the jump squats were replaced with my own challenge. I didn’t get to his push-ups since I forgot about it until after dinner, but I did the planks (level 2) and did 1 set of each level of wall sits.

Tired. Tired. Tired.
